Today we looked for blessings and found:
Beautiful Columbia in bloom...dogwoods and azaleas
And allergy medicines, tissues, and eye drops!
Five good report cards with stellar comments from teachers
A meeting with our ESOL teacher that greatly encouraged me after our disappointment with one child not being accepted into the program to which she had applied. To see our child's progress from another perspective.
A celebratory outing to a new yogurt store
Letting them put whatever they wanted on top of their yogurt, and them noticing that I chose fruit and granola. Wondering if they perhaps will too one day without my constant reminders.
The ability to sub at the last minute for a sub who was injured. Being able to coach people who are new to Pilates and have them enjoy the class.
The ability to bring lunch to my first graders and play Cranium around the lunch table. Businesses like Wendy's that advocate for families to consider adoption and families to spend time together.
The ability to help two of my first graders' classmates with some math skills.
Being able to pray for them (silently) to be able to catch on.
Seeing Will make his first run in baseball ever.
Chatting with a friend in the stands during the game.
Being invited to join a book club.
Being reminded that I want to be intentional about reading how to best love my family.
Talking with my Mom and learning that she is enjoying her semi-retirement.
Catching a child in an integrity issue and immediately doling out a consequence. Having the child accept responsibility.
Seeing my kids grow as readers and devour books.
My oldest being offered her first babysitting job.
Her completion of the Roman mosaic project and the anticipation of a clean dining room table in the future.
A blog post by LetMeStartBySayingBlog.com that reminded me to remember how good my life is.

Then I will worship
at your altar because you
make me joyful.
