On the Day my Mom was diagnosed with cancer

Green (yet purple) smoothies for St. Patrick's Day
Checking the district website in between baseball games to find out the results of next year's school placements (Both kids were accepted into the magnet programs they applied for!)
Stopping to photograph the one pansy that recovered from being a neighborhood deer's salad
Stopping to snap a picture of a rare moment of tranquility between these two (two days apart in age). Loving how a good book can bring us all together.
Natalia's long awaited cowgirl boots arrive... In a children's size

Little bits of green sprouting here and there. Being hopeful that the doctors can treat Mom's lung cancer surgically without chemo. Being thankful that they caught it on a routine heart scan (not looking for any lung trouble). Having a sense that God is looking out for Mom. Had she gone to the doctor even six months later, things may have been very different.

You see trouble, O God, and take it in hand.

We entrust ourselves to You. You are our helper.

Psalm 10:14
