God's Blessings in February 2017
1. Mimi coming to hear Laurel's violin solo; L rocking her piece, despite performance butterflies; an invitation to play during the opening ceremonies of our new library auditorium
3. Heartfelt tears of gratitude of God's faithfulness in leading our pastoral search committee to our next pastor
5. Snowy ride to the top of a mountain at Beano's Cabin
7. Making breakfast with loved friends, sitting around in cozy pants watching a movie at night, going out to dinner and cutting up, sharing what God is teaching us, talking about our crazy kids; gratitude for parents who are willing and able to stay with our children and hold down the fort while we get away for the wee
9. Snow-mobiling for the first time
10. Watching an intriguing movie in front of the fire with friends and streaming a sermon a Sunday morning; vacationing with friends who love Jesus too
11. A new mentoring program for women launched at church
12. Nutella pancakes for dinner on a night when we are all at home
13. Handmade paper
14. Walking and talking about Scripture; sharing the journey
15. Cheese sticks- grab and go goodness
16. The ability to encourage another adoptive mom in Idaho via texting technology (and be encouraged in return)
17. The change to stay home and have a long quiet time in the morning
18. A reminder to look at one another through the veil of grace and compassion- praying for a grace-based marriage and family, knowing that our personalities lean towards growth and order and we have children that prefer spontaneity to discipline
19. To be challenged by a discipleship course and a reminder to always have a teachable spirit
20. Studying Philippians together with Andy- being on the same page at the same time; discovering TheBibleProject youtube videos
21. A great first meeting with my new college leader girls
22. My teenaged son telling me (occasionally) that he loves me
23. Medicine for migraines- being able to take Natalia home from school on a tough day
24. Oatmeal scotches (that my daughters made) under a glass dome on the kitchen counter
25. Being able to call on friends during an emergency
26. Apologies; correction, discipline, and a good-looking yard after this round of truth-telling and integrity instruction
27. Lunch and springtime walks with my Mom
28. AudioBible recordings to skim through Leviticus and let ideas roll over me as I roll down the highway, notes scribbled in tiny notebooks in parking lots, soaking up all of God's wisdom that I can in the time that I have
